Fabulous Art Nouveau gold filled lion head bracelet made by Bates and Bacon, stamped with a patent date of December 26 1905. A central medallion has a walking lion emerging from vegetation. The lion's head has glass ruby cabochon eyes. The faceted clear glass rhinestone in its mouth is missing. The lion's head is surrounded by applied ornament with high relief detail. Marked Bates and B on the inside front and Patd Dec 26 05 on the inside back. Please view photos and read entire description! The bracelet has an oval shape that makes it very comfortable on the wrist. Beautiful statement bracelet from the Edwardian period, early 1900s. Measurements: 2 x 2 1/2 inches inside diameter, 7 inches inside circumference, 1 1/4 inch wide, weight is 35.8 grams. Red stones are 1 mm.
